I enjoy poetry and I often utilize simple, poetic imagery to express my thoughts, feelings, experiences and relationships. I particularly appreciate the various sentiments and extreme emotions expressed throughout the psalms in the Scriptures. Psalm 62 reminds us that the writer expresses that in God alone is my soul at rest and from Him hope comes. In our world today, when hope seems so elusive and discouragement appears so pervasive, our Pope Francis often spoke of hope.
- Does hope come alive in my attitude and actions?
- How do I keep hope alive and engender it in my everyday life in the midst of turmoil and trauma?
- Am I known as a bearer of hope?
