The Catholic Sisters of Kansas (CSOK) met following Memorial Day for the first in-person meeting since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. The hospitality of our Dominican Sisters in Great Bend, Kansas was enjoyed by all. What a gift to be together again and renew our commitment to supporting one another and our congregations.
The primary focus of the meeting was to look again at the legacy of religious life in Kansas. Mary Frances Jaster joined the meeting as the reflective listener as the group re-visited goals and established steps to meet those goals. The meeting days gave all in attendance an opportunity to take a fresh look at the big picture of who women religious are and what these five congregations have given to the citizens of Kansas since as early as 1841. The realities of current challenges provided ample opportunities to dream and plan.
